An opportunity has arisen for a "Community & Stakeholder Manager"  to join the Albany Ring Road Project.

Role
Working directly with the project team, community, individuals and project stakeholders, the role of "Community & Stakeholder Manager" is to foster exceptional relationships and build strong communication channels. Your focus is to achieve corporate objectives to ensure the Company is recognised as a responsible corporate citizen.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing compliance with the terms of agreements and identifying & managing associated risks.
  • Embed leading edge stakeholder engagement principles into all aspects of project delivery across Decmil.
  • Ensuring the company’s legal obligations with respect to native title & cultural heritage issues are recognised and considered.
  • Foster a strong stakeholder engagement culture across the organisation through a change management approach.
  • Generating options for action and facilitation decision-making.
  • Manage the stakeholder engagement team to ensure they are meeting their KPIs & delivering all projects on time/budget.
  • Building sustainable long-term relationships with communities, interest groups & other government and non-government organisations and their staff.
  • Conducting or supervising research and analysis into issues in a specialist area.
  • Design and drive strategic communications and stakeholder strategies.
  • Embed leading edge stakeholder engagement principles into all aspects of project delivery across Decmil.
  • Respond to and priorities competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while maintaining high work standards and attention to detail.
  • Manage media, stakeholder and community events.

Background
To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications/ PR/ Marketing/ Commerce /Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in a generalist Community Engagement role preferably within the engineering and construction industry.
  • Project management, analytical and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience of effective leadership.
  • A detailed understanding of state and federal government policy development processes
