Due to ongoing growth, we're looking for a Senior CA to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Contracts Administrator will be responsible for the strategic administration of the day-to-day contractual requirements on the project to ensure maximum profitability. This role is offered on residential basis and will be based in Perth.
This includes upstream and downstream contract management. The role will involve value engineering, key procurement tasks from tendering through negotiations to award, processing claims and invoices, managing the head contract and subcontracts and delivering strong cost and change management to enhance margin gains.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Effective and profitable management of all contract information including, project costs, performance, reporting & forecasting
- Preparation of subcontract and supplier documentation of a project of high complexity
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all project contract documentation including head contracts and subcontracts
- Contribute to the tendering and negotiation process and provide input and recommendation to the outcome
- Assist the project team in the administration of contracts, including procurement, budgets, progress claims, written documentation, and disputes
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Law or similar is preferable
- Experience in the Construction or Resource industry with at least 5 working for a Contractor
- Claim preparation and negotiation experience essential
- Strong negotiator with proven track record of negotiating and implementing best for project practices
- Prior project site experience required with technical knowledge of the industry
- Experience in effective and profitable management of Contracts (upstream and downstream)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing project conditions
- Ability to mentor junior members of the commercial team
